Meet the Dean
The Rosen College of Hospitality Management has a lot to offer: a prime location in America’s top tourism destination, proximity to major employers and a beautiful, resort-like campus setting. However, it’s what students accomplish while they’re here that makes Rosen College a special place to learn and teach. That’s why it’s widely considered the top hospitality college in the United States.
We believe in the principles of leadership, professionalism and service, and this is reflected in everything we do. It’s not only our mission, but also our responsibility to instill this philosophy in the future leaders of the hospitality and tourism industry as we seek continued growth and excellence in our field.
Our diverse faculty members, representing over 17 different countries, are renowned for their research, teaching skills and professional experience in the hospitality industry. In fact, many of them held executive roles in restaurants, hotels, theme parks and attractions, planned major conventions and events, and led numerous professional organizations throughout their careers. Not only are they knowledgeable in theory, they’re experts in practice, which inspires powerful lessons in the classroom. We also encourage dual learning in classes and the workplace, and our students benefit from unparalleled opportunities to practice their skills and interact with the hospitality industry’s top employers.
A world of possibilities awaits our graduates beyond the gates of Rosen College, but we’re honored to help prepare the next generation of hospitality leaders who choose to start their journey here.
Thank you for your interest in Rosen College and I look forward to seeing you on campus.
Dr. Abraham Pizam has overseen UCF’s hospitality program since 1983.
