Rosen College Hosts International Hospitality Students for Disney Undergraduate Program

Rosen College welcomed 43 international students for the start of the Disney Undergraduate Program on January 17. They hail from Rosen College’s six partner universities in China and South Korea, which include Beijing International Studies University, Nankai University, Hainan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Kyung Hee University and Sejong University. This competitive program is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for aspiring hospitality and tourism professionals to study and work in one of the world’s top tourism destinations.

During the six-month immersive program, students live and work at Walt Disney World and take courses at Rosen College, situated in the heart of Orlando’s tourism corridor. They work at Disney four days each week (up to 37.5 hours) and attend the following courses at Rosen College on Thursdays: Destination Marketing, Culture & Cuisine, and the History and Culture of Wine. They will also have the opportunity to participate in Rosen College’s Spring 2016 Career & Experiential Learning Fair, tour Rosen Shingle Creek and the Orange County Convention Center, and partake in some traditional American pastimes during a day of BBQ and kayaking at Lake Claire. At the end of their program, the students will receive a certificate during a special graduation ceremony and luncheon.
