Ms. Meredith Malkin MA, LMHC
Meredith Malkin is a Mental Health Counselor and Expressive Arts Therapist at UCF Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), at both Rosen College of Hospitality Management and main campus. Meredith is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, certified Expressive Arts Therapist, and Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida. She received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at University of Central Florida and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University.
Meredith has over nine years of experience as a mental health professional where she has worked in the public school system and University setting. Meredith has worked at UCF CAPS for the past 6 years and has a passion for helping to empower students in all aspects of their lives.
Meredith utilizes a client-centered, collaborative, and integrative approach when working with students. She loves to create a safe and compassionate space for students to feel heard and valued.
When words are not enough, Meredith has additional training in expressive arts therapy for personal growth and empowerment. Meredith specializes in working with students on adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, difficulties with interpersonal relationships, family of origin concerns, trauma recovery, low self-esteem, and the development of emotional and self-awareness.
When not working, as a self-taught artist, Meredith loves to create art and write. She also loves listening to music and jamming out with her two kids.
