Biography

Gisele Canova is an Instructor and Internship Coordinator at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management.

Gisele is a skilled Hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience within the Tourism and Hospitality industry. She started her Tourism career organizing and guiding multilingual tours throughout Brazil and South America, but eventually realized that her passion was Hospitality where she went on to fulfill several operational roles for various companies, including Disney, Hilton, Loews Hotels, Orient-Express, and Sheraton.

Gisele’s educational background includes a Master of Human Resources degree from Rollins College. Her work experience in HR includes recruitment for five McDonald’s restaurants and the coordination of employee events, work-life initiatives and recognition programs for the Walt Disney Company. At Disney, she additionally facilitated programs within the Youth Education Series for college students from the across the United States.

Gisele also has a Master of Science degree from the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. While seeking her degree, Gisele worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant. Her areas of study included Fairs and Festivals, Event Management and Strategic Issues in Hospitality and Tourism.

In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, watching movies and traveling.
