Students who wish to participate in the UCF Graduation Ceremony must submit an Intent to Graduate (ITG) form by the published deadline, which typically falls in the semester prior to their intended graduation term.
Please note:
- Students who fail to submit the ITG form by the deadline or who have outstanding program requirements at the time of graduation will not be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony.
- If a student is unable to attend the ceremony during their graduating semester, they may request to walk in the subsequent semester’s ceremony by emailing hospitality@ucf.edu. Such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
For more information on deadlines and eligibility, please visit the UCF Commencement website or contact your Academic Success Coach.
How to File Your Intent to Graduate (ITG)
Filing your Intent to Graduate (ITG) is a critical step in ensuring you’re on track to complete your degree and participate in commencement. Here’s how to complete the process:
Students can file their ITG form through myUCF by following these steps:
- Log in to my.ucf.edu.
- Navigate to Student Self Service.
- From the “other academic” dropdown menu, select “Intent to Graduate: Apply.”
- Students should allow 20-30 minutes to fill out the Intent to Graduate form and the UCF Graduating Senior surveys
A Few Reminders to Help You Graduate on Time
Please keep the following in mind as you prepare to graduate:
- No Transient or CLEP Credit in Final Semester
Students may not take courses at other institutions (transient) or earn CLEP credit during their graduating term. Please plan ahead.
- All Credits Must Be Reported
You must report all credit attempted or earned prior to completing your degree.
If you’ve taken courses at another institution that are not reflected in your UCF record, request official transcripts be sent to the UCF Registrar’s Office immediately.
Note: Any In-Progress (IP) grades will prevent graduation clearance.
- Graduation Means You’re Done
Do not register for future semesters after your intended graduation term unless you’ve been officially admitted as a Graduate Non-Degree or Second Degree Seeker.
