Meet Bill Zanetti, an esteemed instructor at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. With a rich background in the entertainment industry, Bill brings a wealth of experience to his teaching. His career includes significant roles at industry giants like Disney and Universal, as well as industry suppliers, where he managed projects such as advertising campaigns that reached audiences worldwide and IT projects that streamlined efficiency.
Academically, Bill holds an M.B.A., equipping him with a strong foundation in business principles. At UCF, he imparts knowledge across a spectrum of subjects, including Entertainment, Marketing, Hospitality, Theme Parks, Attractions, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence. In addition to his teaching role, he serves as the Chair of the Rosen College of Hospitality Management Faculty and the Teaching Coordinator for the college, overseeing curriculum development and faculty initiatives to enhance student learning. Bill was also instrumental in the creation of the Gregory Elias Entertainment Management program at the college and served on the inaugural Entertainment Management Board.
Beyond the classroom, Bill is deeply involved in the entertainment industry and academic community. He is an Executive Producer of Defunctland, a Peabody Award Nominated documentary series based on the entertainment and theme park industry. He also maintains active memberships with the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions and the Themed Entertainment Association. For fun you can often find Bill traveling to worldwide entertainment destinations, enjoying cruises, and visiting national parks.
His expertise extends to areas like theme parks, entertainment, artificial intelligence, technology, marketing, queuing theory, cruise lines, and tiki culture, reflecting his diverse interests and commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends.
