explore how we are redefining
hospitality… on earth and beyond
AS COMMERCIAL SPACE TOURISM TRANSITIONS FROM DREAM TO DESTINATION,
A NEW KIND OF HOSPITALITY IS TAKING SHAPE. ONE WHERE PROFESSIONALS WILL:
At Rosen College, we’re not just preparing students for today’s industry; we’re preparing them for what’s next.”
Join Us in Shaping the Future of Hospitality
EDUCATION THAT REACHES HIGHER
We’re embedding space-related modules directly into our curriculum… because the best way to prepare students for the future is to give them the tools to create it.
- Current learning experiences challenge students to explore:
- How much space is enough for guests in confined, zero-gravity environments
- What dining and hospitality look like in spaceports, shuttles, and orbital hotels
- How core values like comfort, service, and empathy, translate when the environment is radically different
Powered by Innovation & Collaboration
As part of UCF’s Space Council, Rosen College is contributing to a broader, university-wide initiative to explore how space will shape the future of education, research, and experience design. We’re also identifying emerging pathways for student internships and partnerships with space organizations, helping students turn their passion for hospitality into something out of this world.

Hotel Room of the Future Lab
This lab invites students to explore how to create privacy, warmth, and calm in a space station, rethinking what “home away from home” means while orbiting Earth.

Space Tourism AR/VR Lab
Students experience the journey of a space tourist—from launch to reentry—and begin to shape the service models and guest touchpoints that will define tomorrow’s off-world adventures.

Space Food Innovation
Students envision growing produce in space, cooking without flames, and creating nutritious, enjoyable, and sustainable menus for travelers beyond Earth.
The Mission Is Bigger Than Travel
Hospitality is about connection.
As humanity extends its reach beyond Earth, we’ll need a new generation of professionals who can make even the most unfamiliar places feel welcoming. Whether it’s in orbit, on the Moon, or at the edge of exploration, hospitality will be there—setting the tone, creating the experience, and making the impossible feel personal.
