Tammie Kaufman CV

Expertise: Cultural and Heritage Tourism, Food Truck Management and Buying Behavior, Consumer Motivation, and Online Teaching.

Dr. Kaufman has over 25 years of experience in the hotel, restaurant and travel industries, having worked in various facets from management to line employee positions with the following companies: Wall Street Deli; Comfort Inn and Rocky Mountain Tours and Travel.

Dr. Kaufman teaches Restaurant Management, Restaurant Marketing, Lodging Management, and Tourism Management. She hopes to bring a unique perspective to the classroom based on her varied background and 18 years of university teaching experience.

Dr. Kaufman’s primary research areas include cultural and heritage Tourism, food truck management and buying behavior, consumer motivation, and online teaching. and has published in the following journals and encyclopedia: Advances in Hospitality and Tourism Research; Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, Developments, Encyclopedia of Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education, Journal of Retail & Leisure Property, Journal of Teaching in Travel and Tourism, Journal of Tourism; Journal of Travel and Tourism Marketing, Tourism Analysis and Tourism Review International. Dr. Kaufman has also co-authored a textbook, “Timeshare Management:  The Key Issues for Hospitality Managers.”
