Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I pursued a degree in Culinary Arts at the International School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Universidad Ana G. Méndez, and have amassed over 20 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse culinary settings, taking on various roles that have shaped my expertise.
My professional journey began as the television host of the culinary segment on Tu Mañana Univision Puerto Rico, a role I held from 2000 to 2003. During this time, I also served as a chef instructor at the Instituto Vocacional Ana E. Méndez from 2001 to 2003.
In 2003, I transitioned to the Universal Career Counseling Center, where I worked as a culinary coordinator and chef instructor until 2006. That same year, my family and I embarked on a new chapter, relocating to Orlando, Florida.
Since 2006, I have been part of the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. Currently, I serve as an Instructor and the Director of Food and Beverage Operations in the Department of Foodservice & Lodging Management.
Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Curriculum Development and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in the same field. My research focuses on digital learning and hospitality education.
Passionate about my craft, I am committed to mentoring and inspiring the next generation of culinary professionals. I believe that continuous learning and innovation are essential to staying at the forefront of the ever-evolving hospitality industry.
