UCF Targeted Research Training Program (TRT) 

The UCF Targeted Research Training Program (TRT), housed within the Sunshine Education and Research Center, is dedicated to advancing workplace safety and health in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Collaborating with leading universities and industry experts, the TRT program focuses on addressing the unique risks faced by hospitality workers through innovative research, comprehensive education, and impactful outreach. 

Dick Pope Sr. Institute for Tourism Studies 

The Dick Pope Sr. Institute for Tourism Studies (DPI) at UCF, established in 1979, honors Florida’s pioneering tourism entrepreneur. The Institute is dedicated to advancing research, disseminating information on the hospitality and tourism industry, and offering educational programs. With over $1.4 million in research funding and a global reach, DPI conducts impactful studies for diverse clients including governments, international organizations, and private enterprises. Its efforts significantly contribute to the field and support UCF’s graduate students through external funding.

The Rosen Research Review, published biannually by UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, offers insightful coverage of critical issues and trends shaping the hospitality and tourism sectors. UCF’s Center for the Study of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery

At the Center for the Study of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, our mission is to tackle the global issues of human trafficking and modern slavery through comprehensive research, community engagement, and specialized training. We focus on developing actionable solutions and offer student fellowships and survivor scholarships to drive meaningful change. Our vision is to be a leading force in shaping effective responses and policies to combat these pressing issues.
