Dr. David Kwun
Biography
Expertise: Hospitality Marketing and Strategic Marketing, Brand Management
Dr. David Kwun is a faculty member at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he has been teaching since 2006. Dr. Kwun served as the Master’s Program Coordinator and is currently the Interim department chair of the Hospitality Services Department. Before his tenure at Rosen College, Dr. Kwun was a faculty member and Program Director in Hospitality Management at the University of Mississippi, bringing a wealth of experience in academia and the hospitality industry. Dr. Kwun earned his Ph.D. in Foodservice and Lodging Management from Iowa State University. His research interests span across hospitality marketing, consumer behavior, and brand management, with a particular focus on how marketing strategies can drive both consumer and brand engagement. Dr. Kwun’s scholarly work has been widely recognized and published in leading academic journals, and he has presented his research at numerous international conferences. At Rosen College, Dr. Kwun teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses focused on marketing, brand management, and strategy, where he emphasizes the importance of consumer insights and strategic approaches in the competitive hospitality and tourism landscape. His national and international academic journey and industry experience have allowed him to offer his students a unique and diverse perspective. His contributions to the field continue to influence academic discourse and practical applications within the hospitality industry.
