Kayode D. Aleshinloye, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Tourism and Event Management at the Universal School of Experience Leadership and Innovation, Rosen College of Hospitality Management, University of Central Florida. He received his Ph.D. in Recreation, Park, & Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas (2015). Before that, Kayode had his master’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management at Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus (2009), and a bachelor’s degree at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria, majoring in Home Science and Management (Nutrition & Dietetics, 2000).
His research interests focus on cultural festivals, sports and event tourism, sustainable tourism, rural and community tourism, social and economic impact studies in developing countries, resident-tourist relationships, and World Heritage Sites. Dr. Aleshinloye is an associate editor for Event Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management Journals. His research work has appeared in Intl. Journal of Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, Event Management, Current Issues in Tourism, and other academic publications. He has also presented some of his work at major national and international conferences.
Kayode’s hobbies include traveling, attending cultural festivals, soccer, and tennis. His dream is to travel to every country in the world.
