For more than three decades, Jay has managed every aspect of hotel operations for global brands and massive properties while meeting and often exceeding projections along the way. A graduate of Ocean City College in his youth, Jay’s devotion to continuous learning was evident by earning a certification from the Rollins College Political Leadership Institute and his successful completion of the Leadership Orlando Program. His hospitality journey has included roles in New Orleans, Miami, New York, Scottsdale, San Diego, Hawaii before landing in Orlando and the closest resort to Disney Springs in 2007.
Leonard recently led a multi-million-dollar reimagination and rebranding of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, an Official Walt Disney World Resort which stemmed from white paper research conducted by the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management. An industry leader and board member for CFHLA and its political action committee, Visit Orlando, and the (Disney) Hotel Plaza Association, Orange County Sheriff’s Foundation and prior service on the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors, Jay is an active fundraiser for blood donations and children’s cancer causes.
