Rosen College Doctoral Student Wins Emerging Scholar Award

UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management PhD student Trishna Gajjar recently received the Emerging Scholar Award at the 17th International Conference on Diversity in Organizations, Communities & Nations. The conference was held in Toronto, Canada, from July 26 – 28, 2017. The emerging scholar awards are presented to outstanding graduate students and emerging researchers who have an active research interest in the conference themes. Additionally, the awards present a strong professional development opportunity for early career academics.

Gajjar joined the PhD program at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management in Fall 2015. She received her Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Central Florida and her Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from the University of Florida. Her research interests include organizational diversity management, human resources management, strategic management, and organizational behavior in the hospitality and tourism industry. Gajjar has presented her diversity management research at numerous international conferences. Gajjar is currently teaching strategic human resources management at UCF, and hopes to work at a research university upon graduation.
