First Dean’s Star Award Recipient for 2021
Congratulations! Danielle Orchard, Director of Development, was selected as the January 2021 recipient of the Dean’s Star Award. Here is what was said about her accomplishments:
This person plays a key role in making sure that we have constant and significant in-flow of financial resources to support the key mission of the college, that is, to be the global center of excellence in hospitality education, research, scholarship, industry engagement, and distinctive impact. The nature of her business can be described as dynamic and many times unpredictable, but with strategic planning, deliberation, coordination and execution, she manages to make it a steady, exciting and constant flow of business with consideration of the market condition. Though persistent and determined, she is also flexible in adjusting her strategies to approach things differently under different circumstances. For example, faced by the challenges of fund raising from an industry negatively affected by the pandemic the most, with support of leadership, she thoughtfully and quickly embraced a new engagement strategy while still keeping the tangible goals of the college in mind. Again with persistence, perseverance and determination, it has been proven that such a strategy is working measured by multiple counts. You will find her actively involved in various important college initiatives and activities such as industry engagement, alumni engagement, Rosen College Hospitality Hall of Fame production, State of the College planning, Hospitality Hope Scholarship planning and execution, to name just a few. Your work is not only important to the college but also greatly appreciated by the Rosen College family.
