Sydney is a graduate student at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management pursuing a Master of Science in Event Leadership and graduate certificate in Event Management. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Magna Cum Laude in Spring 2023 from the Rosen College.

Throughout her undergraduate studies, Sydney was an active member in the Peer Outreach Mentoring Program (POMP) and received the Peer Mentor of the Year Award for the 2022-2023 school year. In POMP, Sydney served as an Executive Board Chair, Event Team Lead, House Prefect, and Peer Mentor. As a graduate student, she is continuing to serve on the Rosen College Leadership Council (RCLC) as a Dean’s Student Ambassador since being inducted into the council in April 2022; she is the first graduate student to serve on the council. Sydney is also the founding President of the Knights of the RELM as well as the founding Secretary and Events Director for W.I.S.E. Women in Hospitality. On the main campus, Sydney works as a First Time In College (FTIC)/All-Around Coach for the PeerKnights Coaching program and a Peer Advocate for the Office of Academic Advocacy.

Sydney has four years of hospitality experience having worked in the club and events industry. She recently completed roles as a Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Michael Duignan and Teaching Assistant for Dr. YunYing Zhong at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management.

Sydney’s love for the hospitality industry stems from growing up in the Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight against human trafficking has always been a cause close to her heart as it has continued to be a relevant issue in Las Vegas and in her current community in South Florida. She is proud to have the opportunity to continue fighting the fight against human trafficking and modern-day slavery with the Knights of the RELM.
