UCF TRT Graduate Spotlight

Katherine Ciarlante, Ph.D. ’22 

Dr. Ciarlante was a TRT trainee from 2019 to 2022. She presented TRT research at national conferences, including SIOP and AOM, and co-authored research papers published in the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, and Technology, Mind, and Behavior. Her dissertation research was supported by a Pilot Project Research Training grant funded by the Sunshine Education and Research Center(ERC) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).Dr. Ciarlante is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area. She works with the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Science’s (ARI) Foundational Science Research Unit on basic research that supports the Army’s future capabilities and needs related to personnel readiness.

Hannah Crandell (UCF TRT trainee) 

Hannah Crandell is a first year Ph.D. student in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology Program at the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include workplace mistreatment, diversity and inclusion, occupational health psychology, and the work-nonwork interface.  

Adam Jacobs (UCF TRT trainee) 

Adam Jacobs is a first year Ph.D. student in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology Program at the University of Central Florida. His research interests include occupational health psychology, work-life balance, advancing technology in the workplace and work in high-stress environments. 

Ann Schlotzhauer, M.S. 

Ann Schlotzhauer is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology Program at the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include precarious work, workplace communication, and the effects of stereotypes in the workplace. 

Corey Walker 

Corey Walker is a second-year master’s student in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at the University of Central Florida.  His research interests include work-life balance, work stress and health, and gendered expectations in the workplace.   

Julia Mixon 

Julia Mixon (Summer TRT Trainee) is a second year M.S. student in the Industrial Organizational Psychology program at UCF. Her research interests primarily include job stress and work motivation, and work behaviors.
