Peer Mentors

Member Requirements

  • Mandatory attendance for Meet and Greet, Orientation, and End of Term Meeting/Ceremony
  • Attend 2 Program Meetings per month (total of 8 meetings per term–only given 1 unexcused absence)
  • Required to participate in POMP designated volunteer events for a total of 5 hours per semester
  • 2-3 Individual meetings with Mentor/Mentee per month and complete a POMP Pineapple Challenge
  • New members are required to attend the POMP Challenge Course team-building activity scheduled at the beginning of the semester

  • Mutual respect
  • Accountability
  • Confidentiality (FERPA) and Ethical Standards (documentation)
  • Effective communication
  • Participation in program meetings
  • Commitment to the POMP
  • Meet and exceed aforementioned goals
